From Marrakech Combined Trip To Desert and Atlantic Coast

Overview

Explore Morocco in six days tour from Marrakech in order to visit the desert of Zagora . in this 6 days we will see Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, Taourdant, Essaouira, Erg Chegaga Dunes Desert.

 

What To Expect

Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate through Ait Ben Haddou

Departure in the early morning towards Ouarzazate. After Tizi n’Tichka (2260 m) we take the road of Telouet Kasbah (Visit to Glaoui Kasbah). We continue on the ancient road of the caravans (32Km), to join the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou passing by small Berber villages. After we visit the kasbah we continue on road to arrive in Ouarzazate. Accomodation and dinner tonight are in a hotel.

 

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Zagora

Departure towards Zagora by the Tizi-n-Tinififft (1660 m), short stop in Agdz, and then we continue to Zagora along Draa Valley side with its palm oasis and ancient Kasbahs. Lunch in Tamnougalt Kasbah. Accomodation and dinner tonight are in a hotel in Zagora.

 

Day 3: Zagora – Chegaga

After your breakfast, we leave Zagora at 10am, heading to M’hamid. We stop in Tamegrout to visit the Koranic library, the underground kasbah and the local pottery. In Tamgroute we take another road across Draa Valley to pass by the oasis of Ouled Brahim with its beautiful Kasbah to join the road on the other side of the valley. Lunch in the dunes of Erg Lihoudi then an hour camel ride in the dunes, and we continue by off-road (64Km) to Chegaga; the highest dunes in southern Morocco (300m high), passing by sacred oasis. Dinner and overnight in a camp with Berber tents.

 

Day 4: Chegaga – Taroudant through Taliouin

After your breakfast we leave to Taliouin taking the off-road between Erg Chegaga and Lake Iriqui, then we reach Foum Zguid. We continue on road through Taznakht, we make a pause to visit the cooperative carpet. After lunch we take the road to Taroudant, Just like a little Marrakech with its red walls, the judgments will be made in different villages like Aoulouz. Lunch in Oulad Berhil, and after the visit to Taroudant city with its walls and others interesting sites, we join the hotel for dinner and accomodation.

 

Day 5: Taroudant – Agadir -Essaouira

After your breakfast we leave Taroudant to Chichester for lunch, then we continue to Essaouira .

Departure at 7h:30 am from your hotel.about 260 km by main road to Essaouira,offers some pleasant exploration.4H30 hours driving to arrive to Essaouira with photos stops in the way : After 60 km,stop in a nice panoramic view Second stop to see « flying goats  » on the way and information about Argan tree. Relax and café in a berber village Visit the Argan Oil production factory. a short stop to avoid the cities of agadir then climb to the kabah the highest point with panoramic view of gadir. lunch in the banana tree village after the taghaazout village.arrive end of the day essaouira. don’t forget the sunset over the sea and a tour of essouira in the night

 

Day 6 : Essaouira – Marrakech

after breakfast. meet your guide for the city tour, This town was an old Portuguese citadel and behind its walls, hide many picturesque places full of history, which you can start discovering yourself once you arrive there. Visit the fishing port of Essaouira and see the local fishermen return to the interior with their catch. Visit Skala Kasbah a wartime citadel Visit some of the beautiful art galleries of Essaouira scattered in the Medina Stroll through the Medina of Essaouira, which can be easily explored as the streets are aligned in front of all the streets of Leisure store for some local souvenirs Have a seafood lunch at the port stalls or in a local restaurant terrace Walk along 6 km of sandy beach

back to marrakech it takes 3 hours by road to marrakech. arrive instataions in a comfortable and typical riad in the heart of the medina of marrkech. free dinner and free time in the evening

 

Day 7 Marrakech

visit the hidden sites of Marrakech with official Guide :

Itinerary  We Explore the real Marrakech and its hidden treasures. Stop At:   Medina of Marrakesh Caravan inns,old bakeries,one of the Mausoleum of one the seven Saints of Marrakech,traditional ovens ,workshops,authentic sections of the souks,The spices and fragrances,The big square Jamaa El Fna. Duration:4 hours  Admission Ticket Free
